last night's dinner was good. the food was ok, not really fantastic. i dont think everyone was really full and i'm sure we didnt eat till it was worth $20 dollars. many of us got sick of cooking and ended up talking most of the time. most of the food had similar taste(buttery flavour) because of the amount of butter we smeared on the pan to prevent the aluminium foil from turning black.

it was kind of awkward at the start. kah han, grace and i were chatting. and then two unknown seniors walked towards us, asking for shu wei. since shu wei went to pick the rest up, they sat down and tried striking a conversation with us instead. one of them was 24 years old, and the other was 31 years old. i think there is a generation gap, so in between there were some awkward silences. just as we expected, many people were late. as time passed, there were more and more strangers joining us. there was a bunch from 03-04 batch i guess. and then greg's batch was there too.

although there was a self introduction at the start of the dinner, i didnt manage to remember the names at all. there were 27 of us in total and everyone was in his or her own clique, so we didnt really mixed around with the seniors.

after the dinner, we(kah han, grace, me, meiyan, the sweet couple, sue ann) went to shu wei's house. her parents were really hospitable and her house is spotless. we talked and played cards. it was fun. i think that that was the best part of yesterday's dinner event. the second thing i liked most about the dinner was that kevin was not emoing. haha he was sharing with us gossips. i am really surprised that he knows that much about the people in school. it was kind of weird not seeing kevin together with mervyn though...

on the whole, the dinner was not bad. :)

ps: to any oacians that happen to see this: lets have a potluck session at someone's house. we can play cards, chat and hopefully play mahjong. haha
