a lot of things has happened over these two days. some are pleasant, while others allow me to look at things in another perspective. yesterday i spent most of my day outside. 'math teacher' asked me to join them in the receeing of venues for some upcoming event. the first stop was changi airport hotel: crowne plaza. it was really beautiful. amazing. it seems that everyone was convinced to have the event at the hotel. but we still had to visit the other venues, just to make sure that was the best choice. asian civilization museum was one of the choices too, and that reminded me of my guiding days(when we had to plan amazing races, the recees) in fact we've used it as one of the amazing race stations(shuning, do u rmb that?)... we didnt visit all the venues as planned because 'math teacher' had already decided on crowne plaza in the first place. so i felt like i wasted my time visiting other venues. the recee was enjoyable because there was colleague 'F' around to talk to. i always feel comfortable talking to her. she's really nice and the best part of it is that we do not have generation gap because she's 22 years old:) i hope that the westerners will feel that the hotel is worth the travelling time... the easteners will be really glad though.. later in the day, we went to buy flowers for valentine's day. it was for a fundraising event. we also had to pick up 100 boxes of cookies. thank goodness colleague 'L' gave us a lift back to office. he's a da hao ren too :) it was rather late when we returned to the office. we had to wrap many bouquets of flowers for the fundraising event today. having no experience in wrapping flowers, it was really difficult at the start. but practice makes progress, so we got better and better at it. and i had lots of fun working with my colleagues. the four of us worked till 11pm. we were starving, luckily 'math teacher' gave us money to order pizza. ha a treat from him. but i just had pizza for lunch.. i enjoyed the flower wrapping session a lot, even though it was a rather stressful period( we had to make our bouquet look like it's worth the money. it's very expensive. but it's for charity:)) would you pay $70 for a bouquet of 6 roses? someone just did. $70 is probably peanuts to him though. when i reached home, i went to bed immediately after bathing. i was too tired to eat. and this morning, i was busy with the preparation for the fundraising event. so i didnt have time to eat at all. lunch was a muffin. and hot milo. i had two scoops of icecream and a box of cookies too. too much sweet things. yucks. i think i got quite q lot of presents this valentine's day. i truly appreciate the things i receive. i am feeling rather happy right now, so i shant spoil my mood by blogging about the stuff that irritated me this morning. all i can say is that ri4 jiu3 jian4 ren2 xin1. i shall post the photo of my presents next time :) i feel loved. happy advance valentine's day to everyone. :) <3 conclusion: yesterday was the best day in office (at least till now) -posted @ 5.21pm |
