I wouldnt know how to generate a PI at all. the topics are: 1) emergency 2) conservation how to come up with something interesting and meaningful with such crap topics? eww.... back to work. i'm bored....... -posted @ 11.45am Long overdue oac photos
![]() New occupant in the house
Grace moved over on Monday to stay in my grandma's house with me and pat. She reckons that she will be able to concentrate better...complete more homework...it's like staying in a hostel again. Time seems to move slower when she moved over. ?!?The two of us have to share a queen size bed. the bed creeks when there is any slight movement, i'm really afraid that the bed may collapse any moment :X she has low tolerance for heat, while i have low tolerance for cold... it's irritating to have the fan blowing at me the whole night. but she cant sleep without the fan.. urgh.. moving on to my driving lesson... i am kindof confused. different instructors tell me different stuff.so to all those out there who knows how to drive, can my bloody heel pivot on the floorboard when depressing the brake/ the clutch? the theory book says no, but it is really more comfortable to pivot, at least my leg doesnt ache..... my final theory test is on this sat. i hope i pass. -posted @ 9.07am No. 1 worry for the week: When are the universities going to send me the offers? ra!!! -posted @ 5.56pm I havent been blogging for some time.. about 12 days. Lots of things happened over the past 12 days. the more significant event would probably be...let me recall.. last mon, i was sick. down with an awful flu. my nose was running away, i remember spending the whole day chasing after my nose. lol.. but for that, i get to take a break from work. went back to work the next day....didnt really get any better. the aircon in the office made things worse. blowing my nose became a very noisy thing to do. imagine all the germs floating in the air of the workplace...eew... i took leave on wed again. got tired of chasing my nose.. need to rest. the flu bug is really virulent. :X i wanted to go home.. but my dad forbid me to return, he was afraid that i might pass the flu bug to the rest. :( poor me. i longed for mum's home cooked food.. so i tried cooking them myself. but it tasted nothing like my mum's dishes. maybe it's because my tastebuds are faulty. 生病时总觉得家特别的温暖 :) Good Friday came at the right time. spent the afternoon at shu ning's house doing craft session. the handicraft that she makes look rather simple. but trust me it's really tedious to sew it,and uber hard to gauge the size. After the fruitful craft session, i went to causeway point's ichiban to meet the gang for dinner... Saturday was spent with the oacians. the turnout was rather good.i think it's because jessie was the one who organised it. somehow people always reject my invitation :( as usual, when you have a bunch of guys, they will end up talking about their army experiences. there were periods of awkward silences during lunch.. it's kind of sad that the topics we talked about are always about uni applications or work.. *sigh.. deciding what to do as a group after lunch was super tough. can anyone tell me what can a group of more than 10 people do together in a mall? there were so many opinions to consider, the price of the activity, the likings of the people..... i think it would be better if we planned the actvities beforehand...so that we wont end up having a bunch of poeple staring at each other.. scratching their heads, figuring out what to do next. in the end, we went to play arcade.(eg.daytona) i must say that i suck at shooting games. mervyn's quite pro at playing arcade games though.... in the late afternoon, when some of them are leaving, waikit suggested going to partyworld. great idea. 5 of us(lizhen, merv, wk, me, kahho) went to the shenton way branch. Singing was fun. With my blocked nose, i seriously had no idea how i sounded... maybe lower voice than usual? As usual, we spammed a lot of jay chou's songs because kahho and merv are only familiar with his songs. it was an ear opener for me( i realised that i havent heard many of jay's songs). then the 4 of us(merv,wk,me,lz) went to vivo to grab dinner. walked around the mall a little before heading for home. that marked the end of my wonderful sat. $50 gone just like that. whoa..that's worth almost a day of work....heartbroken T_T but worth it :D fast forward to yesterday.... went for my 3rd and 4th driving lessson :) for both lessons, i drove on the public road. YAY!!! it is so much more fun and cool to drive on the public road compared to the circuit. i am looking forward to my next lesson(which is also my first time driving at night) woots :D -posted @ 5.52pm Drama update: Oh! My Girl!! ![]() Yamashita Kotaro was living a peaceful life as a publisher part-timer aspiring to be a mobile phone novelist until two females suddenly appeared in his life. One is his six-year-old celebrity niece and the other is the little girl's stern manager. As he is forced to live under the same roof as the little prodigy, their differences soon manifest and disputes ensue. However, through co-habitation, Yamashita slowly comes to appreciate having a family and the warmth it brings, all the while developing a love-hate relationship with Fuji Mineko, the manager. Another drama that i am currently watching. This show was introduced to me by my colleagues. I am watching on their behalf. Interesting J drama. Slightly different from the usual stuff that i watch(the lovey dovey type) The emphasis of this show is on family bond. How the lead learns to live and deal with his niece. The little girl is really cute, but i think she's a bit mature for her age. In the show, the lead guy really looks shuai, his hair looks messy but in a nice way, even when he comes out from the swimming pool. it's jusy oh my goodness, i want my hair to be like his. lol. There are many touching scenes in the show. Though the guy always quarrel with his niece, both of them still care about each other. I think 嘴硬心软 fully describes his character. One thing i admire about him is that although he is an adult, he has the courage to admit his mistakes in front of his niece and apologise to her. Some adults wont do it because they care too much about their pride. - posted @ 12.24pm Self explanatory photos ![]() ![]() had a wonderful dinner experience with the gang. :) i still havent paid xw for the dinner yet..oops -posted @ 11.55am Photos taken during korean dinner with Pat and Lari... Group photo at the korean restaurant :) Pat and i posing with the Mac's icecream :) Lari and i posing with Mac's icecream :) The two who ate McFlurry... yumyum :P Ended our mini gathering with a group photo. :) -posted @ 1.28pm Happy April Fools' Day!!! The whole of yesterday was spent at bukit batok driving centre. 4 theory lessons, one after another is enough to give me a headache. the theory instructors were rather humorous. it was the content of the lessons that bore me. when it was time for my practical lesson, i was really excited and slightly nervous. the instructor was nice and friendly. i never knew that the car could move even without stepping on the accelerator. i didnt know the side mirrors could be adjusted by a button. learning how to drive a manual car is tough. but it was fun. the engine stalled quite a few times though. i still have a very long way to go..... i tried turning and changing gears. i am looking forward to my next driving lesson :) when i reached home, pat and i started making cheesecake(non-bake). the cheese portion of the cake turned out a little different because i added too much gelatin powder.and so the cheese had a jelly texture. the crust and the fruits were not bad though. on the whole, it was a good attempt; at least it was edible and presentable. my family brought nong to the vet last night. The part where the toe broke off was a little swollen and red...so the vet gave it some antibiotic and antiseptic solution. people must think that we are mad. the whole clinic was filled with dogs.. and then here come 4 people walking in with a hamster, asking to see the vet. the nurse was a little shocked when we told her we brought a hamster for consultation. the medical bill was about $37. how many hamsters can we buy with $37? lol... i hope nong gets well soon... -posted @ 1.32pm |
