back in one piece
i am finally back from my trip to sabah. back to this fast paced life of mine.before i find time to talk about my torturous climb, there are just so many things that i have to do...(u've no idea how proud of myself i was when i conquered mt kinabalu. wahahahaha....and how glad i was when i'm back in one piece. lol :P) eg. stop myself from shitting. (i.e. i got diarrhoea on the last day of my trip :X)totally spoil my plans... ra.. i so wanna watch avatar again(this time in 3D) thanks to the stupid diarrhoea, i had to live on just water for 2 days :( eg. choosing modules. i HATE it man...(such a pain) i have no idea what to take.. there are just too many considerations... and then the thought of not being able to pull my cap up next sem just scares me... for a moment, i thot i did fine for my exams and that my cap is kindof average. but then when i got to know a few friends cap, i feel super uneasy... no wonder most people dun tell others their cap. u really must have the guts to face it when u are at the bottom of the list again. urgh... i guess ignorance is a bliss. the main point is, i better mug like there's no tmr next sem. if not i'm doom. an easier alternative would just be to be contented with whatever my little intelligence can achieve.(can u understand this crappy feeling?!?!) eg. to get ready for sch...(stop going out everyday... ) eg. have a plan of what i want to achieve next year. (i hate thinking abt this too) and right now... i need to get some sleep.. before the round 0 of cors bidding starts in 8.5 hrs :( can someone pls give me a direction in life? if only i had the compass that jack sparrow has... haha :D season greetings....

did u know u could actually wear ur sch uniform to a wedding dinner and still look kind of good in it. haha... it's possible, my little sis did just that. a white top and her turquoise sch skirt. join the two pieces with a black stretchable nice belt. with covered flats, u'll look nice :) every walt disney movie production seems to convey a message(i.e. the moral of the story) watching princess and the frog with shuying and cherry(its only $6!!!) just made me think about how i used to like all the princess stories :) the storyline is always so simple, and sweet... knowing that the princess will always live happily ever after with the prince, and that hard work will always pay off.. and that kind hearted ppl will be blessed with good life... aww... it makes u think about your childhood..haha.. which was not many years ago(i bet i sound like an old grandmother.. haha :D) hey dun u think it's kind of sad that as u grow up, u discover that all these stories arent true and that it is the total opposite from reality? i bet everyone loves fairytales right? lol :D anyway, met up with my doris, JIAYIN!!!!, ailin, meiying yesterday. it was really fun to hang out with them... i havent seen jia yin for such a long time :) haha missed her drama rants... there is no one else that promotes nice dramas to me by telling me synopsis... she's the best drama buddy!!!!!! haha.. and then i discovered that she's a great shopping buddy too.. haha.. the dress that she picked for meiying was so pretty... i love that dress too!!! i think it's nice to shop with her(shopping guru :D) because she dares to try all types of styles... and she gives constructive feedback :D it was a pity that we forgot to take photos tgt. :( hey seriously i think i discovered a lot of new stuff yesterday: like having double eyelids look really funny on me..(we went daiso and bought the paste on stickers.. haha.. it was so hilarious to see double eyelids on me and ailin... lol :D i must say i prefer my single eyelids a lot more :) ooh... and then we went arcade to play... and we spent a lot.. the shooting game was just so addictive that we spent almost 20 bucks just on 1 game. thats just crazy man... and then i tried ddr for the first time. and it was such an embarrassment.. coz my feet cant coordinate at all... haha.. and i have no idea why do ppl love Häagen-Dazs® ice cream that much that they are willing to pay $5.50 for just 1 scoop!!!!!????? oh and i tried out the soup spoon at vivo city :) whee... its not bad.. but the soup is far too thick. dun order the set, coz u'll never be able to finish it... i should have trusted ailin's words... :P oh and mango has SALE!!!! but the shop is so packed with shoppers.. the fitting room queue is super long... all the clothes are in a mess... totally turns me off even though i saw some nice and cheap pieces :( i still have quite a bit of stuff to pack for my trip tmr. wont be back till 27th dec :) urgh.. imagine the christmas gatherings that i will miss... :( when i come back it's time to get ready to welcome year 2010.. and of course sem 2 of my first year in uni. i do hope that i will learn new stuff about myself during my trip :) haha.. anyway, thats all for now :) outing, outings, more outings
met up with taz last thurs... haven had an og outing for a very long time... as usual there was only two girls: pris and i... haha..the only reason why we went was because we wanted to take this opportunity to meet each other... lol :D apparently even with so many guys(i thot guys wld be more decisive when it comes to deciding what to eat or do. but that's not the case), we took ages to decide. after dinner, we went to sing kbox. i didnt know they had a package frm 8pm to 12am... cost a bomb even though it was ladies night... teo heng still rocks! i didnt really know how to use the kbox remote anymore... haha.. anyway, this k session was just filled with lots of old songs that i dunno how to sing at all. the guys seem to live in a diff era. o.O that was the first time i stayed out so late.. (there's no bus and mrt at all.. haha.. gd excuse for cabbing home) reached home at 1.30am. i was damn scared to be scolded by my dad.. cause the next day i went out again.. :Xfriday night was spent with ailin, carolyn and shu ning at ion orchard :) the Christmas tree was so beautiful... the lightings were great... u could really feel the joyous and festive atmosphere :D the blessed feeling :) i spent the whole of sat preparing for the bbq at night. there was so much food! haha.. whatever animal u name, we have it :) (chicken, mutton, beef, stingray, squid, prawns, clams) omg i cant believe we ate so much... in addition we had otah, garlic bread, salad, bananas(shermin brought them; it was a total distraction) and a BEST EVER CHOC CAKE!!!!! that was the best man.. haha... birthday surprise frm pat, lari and shermin :) i think the surprise was quite successful.. but lari's acting is really too lousy..(quote frm grace) it was a great dinner... but i think we should cut down on the amt of meat next time.... on sun, i met maygin @ plaza sing... we both agree that it was much more convenient to meet up when she was staying at sunset way... we felt so bad to sit at the restaurant for so long..... cant wait for her to move back to clementi park:) and then today, i just rotted at home. currently watching america's next top model cycle 13 :D this cycle is for petite models( their definition for petite is actually 5 feet 6 inches which is around 1.67m... thats crazy... isnt that considered tall in asia? did u know that tyra banks is about 1.77m?!?!?! and those models are always wearing super tall heels...) they keep saying that 1.67m is short... makes me really feel like becoming taller by wearing heels...(oh man, i love those beautiful heels to bits) what else is there to do in singapore? what recreational activities? i am running out of ideas and activities to do with my friends. i have at least 3 diff grps of friends that suggest going to east coast park to cycle.... :X 4 more days before flying off to kota kinabalu :) when i come back, my holz would be nearly over and it will be time for bidding again :( i am so not looking forward to that part... well i guess thats all for now :) p.s.: did u know that they are gonna to remove the parking poles next year? ^^ Happy Birthday Claire!!!
birthday is just another normal day.what defines my 19 year on earth is the stuff i did in year 2009. i think this is the year that i've experienced the most changes and i'm really glad that i have survived these changes and learnt a lot from them.(a big thank you to those who have been contributing to my 19th year memory.. haha) hopefully every year that comes along will be better than the previous one... :Dit is dreadful to be reminded that i'm ageing. haha.. doris told me to enjoy my last year as a teen. :X (it's not like i have a vampire bf like edward that makes me so particular about being older..its just the thought of being closer to an auntie age scares me..wahahahahaha juz kidding :D jacob rocks!!!!)u gals out there are older than me!!!!!!! hahahahahahahahahaha....!!!!!!  time to go do my favourite activity: WATCH ONLINE VIDEOS!!!!!!! haha 真不愧是个宅女!!! :D another peaceful day at home
i haven blogged for the past few days.. very busy and tired. finally had a day of rest yesterday.. spent it at home watching drama serials :) haha.. and i'm gonna spent my birthday at home too:D i love the feeling of just rotting at home.. saves energy, saves time... haha..anyway, last sunday i visited shu ning at red dot museum.. there were a lot more stalls than usual... many nice and interesting products. everytime i go to tanjong pagar, i will think of the 6 months of work experience i had... haha.. and my fav yong tau foo stall at amoy street... i really wanna eat it again. had sushi buffet with esf, it was nice to hear sharings from everyone about sch life...i miss those days when we were back in sch mugging tgt... haha.. we decided to count down to the 2010 tgt at their hostel :) whee.. i'm so looking forward to that!  and then on monday, lari and i went on a date to science centre to check out bodyworld:) our tickets allowed us to view the other science centre exhibits too.. it was so awesome and cool... lari and i were like the pri sch kids... oohing and ahhing at the interesting exhibits(eg. optical illusions)... i think we tried out every interactive exhibit in the science centre.. haha.. my favourite was the exhibit that could produce cloud rings.. the rings of cloud formed were beautiful, but it was a pity that we couldnt capture them on the camera :( the bodyworld exhibition was an eye opener too... haha.. the human bodies look really artificial actually..(haha shermin, definitely wont be grossed out coz it looks just like plastic figure)the dissections are very intricate. lari and i went around collecting the ink stamps of the different organs(those were for the kids who were doing those activity worksheets)... at some point in time, i was so hungry, i even told lari that the model of the blood capillaries of the chicken looks like chicken floss dyed red. and the cross section of the giraffe looks like ham to me... haha we spent about 5 hours in the science centre... :D we were suppose to go vivocity to have dinner with shermomo and get myself a birthday prezzie.. but the stupid headache of mine refuse to go away.. so the plan was scraped :X  well, i think thats about all i did in the past few days :) after today, it will be outing everyday till the end of this week... :) sidenote: i can totally understand how it feels when one puts in effort to organize something only to find that everyone backs out at the last min. haiz...i guess it cant be helped. the past two days...
on friday, i met up with ailin, jeslin and meiying to go to paris ris beach. it was very early in the monrning.. ailin and i had dinner the night before... and we met again in less than 12 hrs. but we still had lots to talk abt.. haha.. i never ever run out of stuff to say to her... :) anyway, it was kind of ridiculous because all of us spent a lot of time to travel to pasir ris beach, only to realise that it was super high tide and it was impossible to build sandcastles at all. we ended up playing bridge the whole morning... then at 1 plus, we met doris at katong shopping centre for lunch and k session. at least that was what we intended to do.. but there was no available rooms.. so i headed home right after lunch while ailin, doris and jeslin went to marina square to check out k box. on sat night, i attended a wedding dinner :) finally wore my new black dress.. i have been looking for an occasion to wear it.. haha... the dinner was good... usual stuff that u eat at wedding dinners... i love the dessert(yam paste & ginko nuts)and the sharks fin soup!!!!! when i was looking at the wedding photos and videos, i was reminded of the show: 'we got married'... those photos were much more interesting than the ones we usually see... taken at botanic gardens, fullerton hotel, etc. the wedding got me thinking about how i would want my wedding to be in future.. haha... i think i am just crazy... anyway, i am so looking forward to the sushi buffet with esf later at tanjong pagar... thinking of going earlier to find shuning at maad... :D thats all for now :) a hole in my pocket
yesterday i watched new moon with pat at shaw lido. all i can say is that edward and bella cant act for nuts... there were quite a few scenes of bella and edward just staring at each other.. they look totally expressionless..and edward looks totally cold and stony.. everytime he appears, his purpose is to kiss bella.. that's just dumb.. and bella is no better.. the only nice part is that jacob is so nice and warm.. he just looks so friendly and cuddly.. haha.like a furry bear.. the werewolve pack makes the show more bearable too.. haha... i see no reason why any guys would wanna watch new moon.. it's really just for fan girls.. lol:Danyway, met up with lari for lunch at fish & co. super satisfied and full... and then we moved on to kino to buy the lost symbol and diary planners :) saved quite abit of money because pat had the kino member card :)lari and i also bought the same pair of flats frm charles and keith.. haha.. same size too :) her shoes were giving her so many blisters... later on we decided to experience the life of a tai tai.. haha.. go starbucks and drink frappe.. that is really how we enjoy life.. sit there and talk... while we were at starbucks, one of the staff suddenly rang a bell and shouted... i think they were giving out free tall frappe... we didnt really know what was going on until a super long queue started to form beside our table... we felt kindof cheated.. the staff could have told us beforehand, then we could save the frappe money and buy a slice of cake instead... (a slice of apple crumble cheese cake and a cup of mocha frappe is my perfect high tea:))lol:D   later in the evening, i met up with ailin and shuning at clarke quay... we walked up and down clarke quay,looking for a korean restaurant, only to realise that it was at boat quay.. urgh.. in the end we manage to find a korean restaurant at the central :) the food was good. it was the first time i tried the stoneplate rice thing. really yummy XD  the whole day of eating good food and buying stuff made a hole in my pocket. but i must say it was money well spent. because spending quality time with my friends is priceless!!!!! :) finally free...but not for long
my exams are finally over!!!!!!! yay :) feeling really relieved that it's over. pre exam period was mostly spent in the sci library. before each paper, i stepped into the exam hall telling myself i can do it, but i always leave the hall feeling uneasy and disappointed. the exam questions are unexpected. they test the nitty gritty stuff, which i didnt think was very important so i didnt pay much attention to it/ their questions are supper tricky... basically i never leave an exam hall feeling good abt it at all.. no matter how much i prepared. that just sucs totally. it makes u question urself whether u really did study enough/ or maybe u r just the turkey among the eagles. i hate to think about the results i'm gonna get. the worst part of it is that i'm on some mountain when the results are released. right now i am trying to not think abt it. i really hope that my results will prove that my worries are uncalled for. uni holidays are the best. no holiday homework at all.. :) today is mum's birthday. i finally fulfilled one of the things i want to do: sing k with my family. teo heng had this 6 hrs package for $32, and so we sang for 6 hrs straight. it was crazy... too much of an activity makes one sick of it too... i dun think i am going to go sing k anytime soon... i bet people find it weird that the whole family goes sing k.. haha.. diff age grps.. diff language.. my mum sings the old songs.. my little sis sings the eng and korean songs.. i sing chinese.. grace sings a bit of everything.. haha.. and my bro sings the tv oldies :D ended the day with a delicious seafood dinner :) oh, i went to cut my hair AGAIN on the day of my last exam and i totally regretted cutting it!!!!! i look perfectly fine frm the back but the fringe just sucs. AAHHHHH my hair is driving me mad!!!!!!! i feel like hiding at home everyday.. but i am meeting different groups of friends every single day. i'm gonna watch new moon tmr with pat. i'm not expecting anything frm the movie. just though it would be nice to see how different it is frm the book :) dinner with shuning and ailin tmr at clarke quay :) wonder what's nice to eat over there? i am hoping that i can find nice flats at orchard tmr. better not tell me the design i like doesnt have my size anymore. that always happen to me. well i guess thats abt it... this whole week is a very very busy week :D cant wait to meet the esf for sushi buffet on sun... haha.. then we can discuss our sleepover at their hostel :D whee...!!!!! p.s.: my bro is got back his psle results. i think he's gonna get into catholic high. yay :D |
