last week was my maternal grandpa's birthday. we had birthday dinner at tao's restaurant. it's at paradiz centre. it's a 7 course dinner at the price of only $25!!!!! it's super worth it... a small comfy restaurant, with very friendly waiters, great variety of food to choose from, not a buffet... everyone has his/her own individual portion... presentation of the food was pretty... u cant help but take photos of all the food they serve...

most importantly the food was delicious. best steak i have ever eaten. so juicy, not tough at all...

everything was just fantastic :) very satisfied. usually it's 29 bucks ++ but they sell vouchers for 25 bucks each if u buy a booklet of 10 vouchers. i bought a booklet of vouchers...so who's interested to go there to eat? give a shout :D

p.s. the pastas at the pasta shop opened by sakae at wheelock place has lots of interesting pastas. worth trying :) but not the coolers they serve. lol :D

first time visiting an og friend's hse. gambled a lot and lost quite a bit too...

but it was still fun :) i like going to ppl's hse :D haha...

just a random thought.... people nowadays dont seem to exchange house number, and definitely not house address... sometimes, you dont even know what is your friend's surname or full name... do you even know all of your friends' full names?! what kind friend is that? the only thing u know about your friend is their emails, facebook...and handphone number?!? if her phone died, it would be impossible to find out what happened her..haha

i foresee that in the near future, wedding invitations, funerals, or any special occasions will be posted as facebook event. haha.. imagine this: dear ..., u have a facebook invitation to ... wedding. please indicate whether u are attending, maybe attending or not attending. pls indicate if u wish to send a virtual wedding gift. haha

how sad is that ...

lol... sounds familiar?! anyway, watched valentine's day with pat and jieying :) it was a light hearted and sweet movie.. featuring lots of eye candies.. lol :D

the trailer of the lightning thief looked good... but apparently those who watched it found it childish and disappointing. thats how we ended up watching valentine's day.

after movie, we met lari and decided to lunch at swensen.. 1 for 1 treat was indeed a good deal. even after ordering an earthquake, we spent less than 15 bucks in total :D we took lots of photos.. many were repeats..... people sitting around might think that we were tourists.. lol :) anyway, recess week seems to be ending soon... dreads :X i still got tonnes of work to do..

after so many days of mahjong sessions and going out with friends.. i finally have a free day: tomorrow! that seems to be the only free day left to study... :/

been out shopping these two days. last minute shopping for cny clothes is never ever successful. just wasted so much energy. i have no idea what ppl these days are wearing. the clothes look weird.. either too baggy.. like potato sack, if not it would be too tight... probably look like rice dumpling if worn... or it's too revealing.. or it's too short to be a dress, yet too long to be a shirt. in the end, i bought the pair of shoes that would most probably be safely hidden in my cupboard. wat was i thinking?! no wonder ppl say love is blind.. haha my love for heels :) woots:D

met up with pris for dinner yesterday. great dinner :) food gives me immediate satisfaction :D unlike shopping... lol :D


cny coincides with recess week( actually i think sch is just super evil and cunning to cheat us of our well deserved break by shifting recess week forward!) have lots of other activities during the week though: meeting up with friends to makan :)
well, it's gonna be a busy week ahead, and i am so looking forward to it :)

next up would be reunion dinner right at home tonight :) steamboat plus salmon sashimi plus yu sheng plus shark fin soup(real one ok!) plus choc brownie for dessert :)
